Carnival Platinum Cruiser Posted November 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Which would you choose assuming all cruises were say 7 days? Take into account transportation costs, hotels etc.
woodey Posted November 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2007 two cruises most likely....but i have to say it depends where the cruise is too.
walkswife Posted November 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Two sevens in an inside guaranty definetly .... would just hope for an upgrade..... two is always better than one.....

geniesue Posted November 2, 2007 #8 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Definitely 2 cruises! Enjoy my balconey but not enough to miss a 7 day cruise.
Chigirlcruzin Posted November 2, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 2, 2007 2 cruises...just get me on the ship. The only cruise I'd require a balcony for is Alaska. I was upgraded to a balcony once, and I opened the door, walked out, said this is nice, and that was the end of it. I'd rather be on the public decks with the action. Drew B Posted November 2, 2007 #10 Share Posted November 2, 2007 I'm confused. How does price factor into this? Are you saying 2 insides for the same cost as 1 balcony, or 2 insides for whatever cost vs. 1 balcony for whatever cost? The money factor is totally critical to make this choice. Rob42 Posted November 2, 2007 #11 Share Posted November 2, 2007 1 cruise with a balconly only because I would have to take out a second mortgage to pay my S&S on 2.
Carnival Platinum Cruiser Posted November 2, 2007 Author #12 Share Posted November 2, 2007 2 cruises inside at the same price as (1) 7 day cruise in a balcony. Only price difference would be transporation costs, hotel, parking etc. would be 2X as much for 2 cruises vs. 1 cruise
232271 Posted November 2, 2007 #13 Share Posted November 2, 2007 :D If you can do 2 cruises for nearly or just above the cost of one cruise, I would go for 2! The more the merrier. :D We have actually been able to cruise more by doing inside rooms than balcony's. Sometimes even 2 1 a's for us and the kids is cheaper than one room!! Go for 2 cruises because you can ALWAYS find an outer deck to relax on! Goodluck on your decision! p.s. as you can see we are addicted to cruising! chitown cruisers Posted November 2, 2007 #14 Share Posted November 2, 2007 I've seen many people say that they can take 2 interiors for the price of one balcony...........and I've yet to find reality pricing to show thats possible. This considering I have to factor in air (unless Carnival starts a Great lakes cruise out of Chicago LOL). I need to get as much out of my time as possible and that means balcony. Any true 2 for 1 would be great, but from my experiences it's works out to be more of a 1 1/2 to 1 ratio. For the sake of the poll I had to go with 1 balcony, reality has me pitching in extra $$ to get 2 for the same price.

Well since that's almost what any cruise would come out to now. I would say the people that book balcony would say one cruise and the ones that book inside would say two lol! Rare patrice1 Posted November 2, 2007 #16 Share Posted November 2, 2007 One with a balcony. Too claustrophobic for an inside & spend alot of time on balcony. So much so, it's actually a big part of our cruise enjoyment. :D
bamagirl1 Posted November 2, 2007 #17 Share Posted November 2, 2007 :) 2 cruises for sure

So much so, it's actually a big part of our cruise enjoyment. :D I totally agree with you Patrice. It's a big part of our cruise too. Our last cruise was a regular balcony and this next one we booked an extended balcony. Hawaii here we come. We can hardly wait! K&C
sandy toes Posted November 2, 2007 #19 Share Posted November 2, 2007 2 cruises. Sure I would rather have 2 cruises with a bal but sometimes you just have to take what you can get. I would rather have 2 weeks at sea than one any time!!!
hstrybuf Posted November 2, 2007 #20 Share Posted November 2, 2007 I voted for one cruise, but that could change. I love having a balcony cabin, but if I had the time and the money, I might just opt for the two cruises in an inside. It would all depend on the circumstances. KRUISE KING Posted November 2, 2007 #21 Share Posted November 2, 2007 I always get a balcony or ocean view but I'm always in the casino so I just need a place to sleep I'll take the inside
CARIBBEANBLUESKY Posted November 2, 2007 #22 Share Posted November 2, 2007 1 cruise, balcony. I would rather stay home than be in an inside cabin.
Rare skittl1321 Posted November 3, 2007 #23 Share Posted November 3, 2007 I'd go for the balcony. Our airfare is costing half of the cruise cost- I couldn't justify that twice.
French_Fry Posted November 3, 2007 #24 Share Posted November 3, 2007 For us it's a no brainer 2 is better than one! Pier 90, 92, 94 in NYC is only 1 hour and 100 bucks away. The ship can be doing the same iten and 2 is still better than one! Always has and always will be!
1BDNANA Posted November 3, 2007 #25 Share Posted November 3, 2007 I'd take the two. If airfair was too high I would just opp for the long drive.I'm going to try it for my freedom trip newyears. If the drive kills me ...I take it back! Or the Norfolk peir is only 45 mins. away.
