deep sea fishing signs as you get at ports...

Hi: We're looking at going deep sea fishing in Grand Turk and want to do an excursion on our own...just wondering as you get off the ship if anyone has ever seen signs for deep sea fishing excursions??? I Posted on Grand Turk thread but didn't get a response.

We were at Grand Turk last year. We did not see any deep sea fishing signs. We walked to the beach and went snorkling. We did not see any individual taxis waiting for non-cruise-boat tours.

If you intend to go deep sea fishing on a non cruise sponsored shore excursion be very careful. My sister and her husband did a deep sea fishing trip on their own in Cabo San Lucas, the small fishing boat developed engine problems and they missed their cruise ship’s sailing and had to catch up with it on the next stop in Mexico. I have also heard stories about fishing boats taking out passengers and holding them up for more money to get taken back to shore.:eek: :eek: :eek:
