Sascol Posted September 3, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2004 I keep reading differing info so perhaps recent Mercury passengers can advise... Is Michael's club on the MERCURY a cigar lounge or a piano bar? I know it was a cigar lounge when we sailed her in 1998 and also know other ships have changed it to a piano bar, but what about Mercury? Thanks in advance. rbrighin Posted September 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2004 I sailed Mercury this past May, and spent some time in Michael's Club. As a smoker I went in to sit on one of the wonderful club chairs and enjoy an after-dinner cigarette. There were usually several gentlemen (and some ladies, too) enjoying cigars - I don't remember a piano in there. During the after-dinner hours, they had someone at the limited bar serving cognac, port, etc. At other times the bar was closed. Generally a very quiet and subdued atmosphere. chessbriar Posted September 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2004 On the C-class ships it's still cigar bar and will remain that way. They are too small to turn into a piano bar. On the M-class it's a piano bar.
JeffCoud Posted September 3, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2004 I was on Mercury last week....it's still a cigar bar. They had the piano guy down on the Cova Cafe area. He was quite good actually! Jeff
