davis0056 Posted June 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2004 We are planning to do an interior independent tour prior to our cruise. Our question is, if we fly into Fairbanks can we send our luggage on to Seward so we don't have to manage it at each stop? Last year we flew into Anchorage and left most of our luggage at the hotel where we stayed the night before heading north. We then picked it up heading south, staying in Anchorage again 1 night before going to Seward. This time my husband would like to fly into Fairbanks and work our way down to Seward, but we don't want to have to manage luggage at each stop. This is not a cruise tour, its an independent trip! We plan to pick up a Celebrity ship in Seward. We aren't intersted in a cruisetour. We have no interst in buses. Another question: We booked our train trip both north and south last year thru Princess (again independently). Can we book the Celebrity train independently like we did the Princess train car. GlacierLady Posted June 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2004 You can book the train any day of the week for Seward-Anchorage.There might be a place in Anch you can store your luggage and pick up on the way through to Seward like you did last time. Budget Queen Posted June 17, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2004 If you are going independent Fairbanks- Seward- then you are responsible for your own luggage. The only possible option would be to inquire directly from Princess and see if it can be dropped off at one of their booked Fairbanks properties.
