Luggage Transfer @ Disembarkation

We will be on the 1/20/08 sailing of the Mercury, Sydney to Auckland. Does anyone out there know if Celebrity offers the service of luggage check-in and transfer when disembarking the ship in Auckland? Our flight is not until 11:00PM that night. I know if we do the Celebrity tour of the caves & glow worms (10 hrs) they will take care of our luggage, but I don't think I want to get hooked up with that. I would rather just have a nice day of exploring on our own without luggage. One more thing...we have X air, so if we go straight to the airport, the transfer is included. I guess we could do that then take public transportation back into the city, but that seems like a waste of time.
