Are there any self-serve laundry rooms on the Jewel? :confused:

Yes there are, on decks 5, 9 and 11.

3 washers and 3 dryers in each..they are front load models and not very big..I brought my own tide detergent in a baggie and liquid fabric softner in an individual packet....Dennis

I haven't used them....refuse to do laundry on vacation;) but...

it has been posted that you need quarters for the detergent machines if you do not bring your own.

 

4 quarters per detergent packet.

Notice the map. The Jewel should be the same (except for the additional on 11?).

Thanks to everyone for the great info. I too hate the idea of having to do laundry whilst on holiday but, doing 2 cruises,and being away from home for nearly a month, it's the best option for me. :eek:

we are on the Sun at Christmas. also from the UK so laundry facility would come in handy....

Sorry, there are no self service laundries aboard the Sun. The Sun does have a ship laundry that provides valet services. Below is a NCL valet service order form. Once, about mid cruise, NCL will offer a fill a laundry bag special for $20.

Should be the same as the Pearl. They are the same class ship (with almost the same deck plan).

I vaguely remember reading that the self-service laundries (on ships with them) were free--no charge for the use of washer and dryer, but there was a charge for soap, softener, etc. Is this true?

4 quarters for their soap, free if you bring yours aboard.
