Alan2504 Posted November 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2007 Here's a link to an article on the sorry end of the once famous SS Norway, makes sad reading for the ship, the way we treat the environment and third world countries. http://shiphappenzz.wordpress.com/2007/11/13/
LHP Posted November 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2007 That is really sad. The SS Norway is the only cruise my aunt and uncle ever took (it was a retirement present from his company) and I remember the wonderful pictures they brought back. Of course this was many many years ago....
MouseCruzr Posted March 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2008 This is a sad end to classic ship. We sailed on her many times before the infamous "refitting". I still have a few key rings that were prizes for finding Norway coins in the waters of the private island. It's true "You always remember your first". The video "The Only Way to Cross" was a fine example of transatlantic ships.
rucruzn2 Posted March 25, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2008 We sailed this beautiful ship about 10 years ago, she was showing her age but at the same time I appreciated the beauty and character that the ship held. This is a very sad article.
