Best Westerns In Lax Or Long Beach

Have any of you stayed at any Best Westerns near the port of Los Angeles,(Long Beach Area) San Pedro cruise terminal that were any good and was there anything there at the Best Western to see or eat out?

 

Also have any of you stayed at a Best Western in Los Angelos area near the LAX airport? What would there be to do there.

 

I don't know if I should stay at a Best Western in Long Beach or LAX area.

I will be in the area 2 or 3 nights with no car and I've never been to CA.

Not stayed there yet, but we're booked in for January and a lot of research including reviews on TripAdvisor pointed me to the BW at the Convention Centre in LB. Note - this is the Convention Centre one on East 1st and not the BW of Long Beach. I am reliably informed from someone who has stayed there that it is about 4 blocks/5mins from the restaurants and shops.

 

We'll be there 3 nights with no car and we are probably going to be using SuperShuttle for the transfer LAX - LB and LB - San Pedro Port.
