First time on the Sun. Is there a DVD player in the rooms?

The only cabins you will find a DVD player is in the penthouse suites. If you have your own portable player bring it along as you can connect to the TV through the AV ports. Just remember to bring along the appropriate cables.

We had a BA balcony on the Sun and it did have a DVD player in it. This was May 2006. At that time they said that all cabin categories on the Sun had them.

There was a test a few years ago to develop DVD rentals in the cabins. But the test was unsuccessful as most passengers would rather watch a free cable channel than pay for specific programming.

When I was on the Sun in October 2006, we looked EVERYWHERE for our DVD player (because I read on here that there was one in every cabin) and we never found one. (We had a BC balcony cabin.) So I would say there probably isn't. But it seems like there were ports on the front of the t.v. if you wanted to bring cables and hook something up.

Was on her in October and we didn't have one either. Definitly bring your own if you have one.
