Las Caletas pv accessible question?

Is las caletas only accessible by boat??? Just wondering ..

and has anyone gone there using a wheelchair?

I believe the only way there is by boat....and it didn't look wheelchair friendly to me...the path from the pier would be hard to manouver a wheel chair, also it's very sandy...

ok thanks for the info,, i was just wondering to plan this or not but my moms in a wheelchair, so it doesnt sound too good..

Definitely only by boat and I've never seen anyone with serious mobility issues there and I've been 4 times. It is beautiful though. Try emailing Vallarta Adventures and ask them.

Lovely shore excursion, but I'm accustomed to a family member in a wheelchair, so I know what to look for, and I'd look at something else. She didn't go with us on this one. Even if they say they "can" do it, I wouldn't try- I'm not sure of Mexican w/c standards but by US standards it's not. There's no way she'd get into the bathrooms (steep stairs and lots of them, no handrails, etc). Steep sandy paths, you step into the boat, etc. Uneven terrain.

 

This is set on a hillside, and the only way in/out is by boat.

Wonderful spot, but hillside location can be even difficult for people on two legs. In the morning, paving stones were wet and slippery and the ground was uneven in parts. I rolled my ankle and skinned my knee. They took good care of me though.
