Return Flight From Baltics Cruise

We need help from past cruisers to Baltics. I'm posting this on several boards. My sister-in-law is joining us on a cruise to the Baltics, and she needs to get return flight from Heathrow to Hong Kong. What is your experience about the time needed after docking to go through customs, disembark, and then travel to Heathrow? I realize she must be there a couple of hours before her flight as well. Thanks.

We were on the Norwegian Dream this June/July 2007.

Although the rout will be slightly different next year and on a much bigger newer ship, I suspect the timings will be similar.

 

We arrived back in Dover at around 5am. It was probably earlier when I looked out of the porthole.

 

As we live in the UK we were not in any rush to disembark and were among the later groups to be called. even so, we were off by 8.00am and had picked up our car and were on our way out of Dover by 9.00.

There were no obvious customs checks but that could change.

 

I think that people with flights, were off the ship by 7.00 or maybe even earlier. Bear in mind that there will be a lot of British on the ship so US guests who wish to leave early should be ok.

It can easily take a couple of hours to get to Heathrow due to traffic.
