Can find very little on reviews on this ship. Was on it 10 years ago and it was a liitle gem. It is presently in Australia and we are booked on the Brisbane to Cairns leaving Brisbane on the 24/01/08. Is there anyone else on this cruise. Also any recent reviews of this ship

This site has reviews from 1997 thru' 2006. I agree it's a little gem we sailed on her in 2000, Phuket to Singaporre and back, cabins are a bit small and no reasonably priced balconies, but a very enjoyable cruise.

We were thinking very seriously about travelling from Sydney to Fremantle on this one next month. The reasons we didn't, (and this is a personal preference, and in no way denigrates the ship), are,

 

No balconies,

 

It caters mainly for Asian customers, (karaoke). If you do your research on the ship, from what I read, a lot of the public areas have been reduced to make way for private karaoke lounges.

 

Extensive Asian menu

 

This may have changed to suit Australian tastes, but it was enough for us to book Princess.

 

Wouldn't be a problem if you like all of the above, and each to his own, but for the amount of money you spend, it isn't about the ports, it is about the ship experience. And I am sure a lot of people would love that
