La Pensione Hotel San Diego

I've seen this hotel recommended a couple of times on this board. We are considering booking for a 3 nt stay in San Diego after our Spirit cruise. How is this hotel? Who has stayed here and would recommend it? Thanks! :)

I have had several friends stay there from 1-3 nights. All the rooms have ONE queen bed. It is nothing fancy -but very nice. If you book it - call the hotel direct on their 619 area # - it will save you a few bucks. The rooms rooms run about $100 per night - you pay a little extra for one of the four corner rooms. It is in a great location (Little Italy) - lots of restaurants and coffee shops near by, but not noisy. It is only about 2-3 blocks to the San Diego Trolley - our public transportation.

Thanks Tom! Just the response I was hoping for. I love the idea of staying in Little Italy.....canolis here I come! LOL
