Bluey on QE2

Recommended Posts

but packing's boring

and hardwork:(

and I've got to do all that IRONING first:eek: :(

Bluey, an addendum, make sure anything you purchase is either drycleanable or non wrinkle ;)

Karen, Do not do that ironing. See my comment in another place. ironing will only make you unhappy.:) :) Jane

I have got a very anxious squirrel - He is very concerned that he might be told to wear something like this and has already stated that in no way will he!

Socrates, my lioncub, is always perfectly drressed in his QE2 jacket. Oooooh, I've got to 500 posts. how much wasted time does that equate to? Jane

Jane,

seen your message & replied, thank you:) !

I had noticed I had got to 800 above (without trying as well, unlike for the 700 landmark;) ), but then thought if this thread floats away, I'm just gonna lose them again, so didn't comment - I suggest you post on other threads quickly to avoid the disappointment I suffered, several times, at the 500, and 600 and probably 700 mark:D (then again, it does give you opportunity to pass the landmark more than once :D )

Karen, Get a grip. If Autonag isn't working, would you like us to come over and help you pack?? Go to that library now. Hang on, QE2 has a library. It must have books you haven't read. Cancel the library. Jane

I also want a credit card - I don't care about how good a card it is I just want one with a bear on it! How cool would that be?:)

I want one too, I missed those, can we apply for one in the UK though??

Oh and Annette, they do sell a life ring, if Spencer is interested

Karen

Ooooooooh, that might do, though he says he would prefer a jacket as it's more likely to stay on

Just do what you have to do, in order to get you through the first day or so, and put the rest in for pressing as soon as you board ;)

Spencer Bear is more worried about the fact that he does not have a life jacket, and we have not been able to find him one any where! :(

We had that discussion with our butler in October. They don't do bear lifejackets.

We decided that he'd have Kirsten's and she'd make do. But then he decided it was too big, so we'd have to share.

I suppose I ought to get him one - and then he could go to lifeboat drill. At present he has to watch it on the television.

Matthew.

We have been through all this before. But is there space in the lifeboats for all passengers plus a furry animal each?? It is quite worrying.:( Jane

Does that matter?

The question is surely "is there space in the lifeboat for Matthew, Kirsten and Bluey?". I'm sure some of those who row can swim as well!!!

More pertinent, and if I were you I'd be worried, is there room for all the furry animals' staff?

Sir Martin:)

You are a cat, and, if you ever were allowed to travel on QM2, you would have a lifejacket and an evacuation plan. At least it would give the passengers in the lifeboat something to eat if rescue took a long time.:)

Not if I got my way:)

Good point:) Maybe we should ensure that it's well looked after - I'd hate it to be missing when feeding time came:)

Well let me know if you manage to find him one anywhere, I have googled and searched all over the place, the only one I found was on another bear - http://www.serenataflowers.co.uk/product/home/1368.htm

I emailed them, but they won't sell me the life jacket separately

What an interesting thread....coming late to it...been too busy feeling sorry for myself that I'm actually back home and not in the Commodore Club where life is civilized and seductive.

Bear, that madcap handsome Golden Retriever has graciously consented to allow a few of his recent voyage photos to be shared...as you will see, he traveled au natural as befits a Golden with such a lush and attractive coat of fur....no embellishments needed here. So here he is with 2 new friends acquired to share his journey with.....he truly enjoyed the international mix of passengers from the staid Beefeater Bear to his new best friend Rugby Bear...a handsome, rugged man about town and a treasured gift his Mom received and generously shared with him. Please note this photo was taken at the bell with about 200 people pawing over the sale table directly behind us...and no one saw us!!

And then he took a brief sojourne in the casino with his little doggie chips...it was a very good run permitting him to have further adventures in other locales onboard.

Do watch for his grand coup....hint....it has something to do with a cat and you won't believe where they are.

Cheers, Penny
