trixie54 Posted November 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2007 I am confused as to where the exchange booth is, vs. the bank. People say the best rates are given at the exchange booth. Still true? "The bank at the FAAA airport is located outside Customs in the general waiting area. After you go thru customs and out the glass doors turn left and you will see the bank. It opens for all incoming flights, 24/7" - assuming these are the directions to the BANK, where is the "Exchange booth"? Thanks!
Wendy The Wanderer Posted November 26, 2007 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2007 I think they're one and the same. Sounds like what I remember. You can't really miss it, it's in a row of stores selling pearls and cellphones!
straycat Posted November 26, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 26, 2007 Although we didnt use it, I believe there is both a cash machine and an automatic money converter that looks like an ATM right next to the bank. Its on the wall the the right side of the bank if you are facing it. All of these are under a big sign that says BANQUE DE POLYNESIE so like Wendy the wanderer said, you cant miss it. The money converter may be what you are thinking. We just arrived back form Tahiti last night and Im jealous of you already. Have a wonderful time in this amazingly beautiful place!
