Belize Zoo

Hello all! We'll be in Belize on New Year's Day. After a long New Year's Eve, I know we will NOT be getting up early to do any tubing excursion. We've been to Belize before and did the cave tubing, which we loved. We won't be loving it on no sleep and with a possible hangover.

We'd like to just go to the Belize Zoo. Any idea on if there would just be taxi availability to take us to the zoo once we decide to get off the ship? Also, how far from the cruise terminal is the zoo?

Thanks in advance.

. . . as the zoo is thirty miles inland. There are plenty of tours going there, using buses of various sizes. But you might want to book ahead, even with your cruiseline's tour operator.

Then we probably won't do anything. We don't want to go anywhere else since we don't want to get moving till past Noon. And paying $60 each to go to a zoo is silly.
