I could not open your thread, so here goes.

 

$340 sure sounds great but IMO it is a marketing gimmick.

 

Is it worth it ? You decide but for me I rather have a couple of drinks or an OBC. It is mostly, buy something and you will get a discount.

 

Here are a couple of things in the coupon book. (always subject to change)

• complimentary Cigar (worth 10.00)
  
• a complimentary souvenir glass
  
• 10% off the creation of digital media Cd (1.50 value),
  
• 2.00 discount on the purchase of a 20.00 bingo card
  
• 5.00 off a Hal bathrobe
  
• an insulated coffee mug worth 9.00 ( sounds ok to me)
  
• a special rate 10.00 for a 2 year subscription for porthole magazine (49.00 value)
  
• 2.00 per minute discount on stateroom calls
  
• 5.00 Casino Match Play certificate

we got the coupon book ( some sort of promotion with HAL and the TA) in our room and used the casino coupon. Forgot about the save $2 bingo coupon ( whoooie). Tried to get the free souvenir glass with the purchase of a froz drink but my HAL cruise never had any souvenir glasses...they were out of them...never got any.that was a first for me as I like to collect them.. we left the coupon books unused (except for the casino coupon )in the bible in our cabin for its next occupants

We also left the coupon books in our cabin. I didn't think of hiding them.

 

Give us something that is worthwhile instead of insulting us and making believe you are giving us a gift.
