sharonh1885 Posted January 4, 2008 #176 Share Posted January 4, 2008 Now you folks are just plain silly. If they offered cabins with windows that showed below the water line too much negative publicity would arise over the garbage that gets dumped into the ocean. As it sits now, by the time the garbage surfaces the ship has already sailed out of its sight. :) I'm putting my name and address in the corked but empty wine bottle next cruise just to see how long it takes to find its way home. LambKnuckles Posted January 4, 2008 #177 Share Posted January 4, 2008 I booked guaranteed O/V -- I wonder where my window will be??? I guess below the waterline is still O/V!! :D
parrotthead Posted January 4, 2008 Author #178 Share Posted January 4, 2008 of course it will be below water...you said you booked an OV (oecan-view) not a SV (sky-view) Duh...;)

Underwater Balcony Snob Posted February 14, 2008 #180 Share Posted February 14, 2008 I can't help it, too many people have asked about my name...folks, here is the inspiration to all of my madness! (Ok, so maybe not ALL of my madness, but I did laugh so hard I pulled a muscle, no, I'm serious!!!!) After much contemplation, I believe I know how the MD is handled with the underwater balcony rooms (and those with with windows and glass floors as well), the good old orange vests with the "too many drunks have put it in their mouths" whistle, we get a good old fashioned cement block. They figure we'd rather sink than swim anyway.
Jenal Posted February 14, 2008 #181 Share Posted February 14, 2008 Please, please tell me the person who started this thread was joking, to see how everyone reacted. If not, I think a below water balcony suite should be created just for them, with their bed out on the balcony

Perkolater Posted February 14, 2008 #185 Share Posted February 14, 2008 So, if your balcony is underwater, how long of decompression stop do you need before heading to the lido deck?? Thanks for a hilarious thread!
meatball77 Posted February 14, 2008 #186 Share Posted February 14, 2008 They acually charge extra for the underwater balconies because of the complication with scuba gear and air locks.
tektron Posted February 15, 2008 #187 Share Posted February 15, 2008 They acually charge extra for the underwater balconies because of the complication with scuba gear and air locks. I noticed that when I booked an underwater balcony on the Miracle for next January... it was almost as pricey as a Cat 11 suite!
dan40 Posted February 15, 2008 #188 Share Posted February 15, 2008 So, if your balcony is underwater, how long of decompression stop do you need before heading to the lido deck? Depends on the amount of Methane in your system. Dan

chitown cruisers Posted February 18, 2008 #196 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Is that you're exempt from the Muster Drill. For those who have traveled a lot this makes it a very coveted cabin. Thats because if you put the life vest on in the cabin before the drill.......you'll float up and get stuck on the ceiling!! picklebongo Posted February 18, 2008 #198 Share Posted February 18, 2008 I can easily see how someone would think this thread was serious, particularly in light of some of the questions crew members are asked. Everybody obviously doesn't know the OP has cruised before, so it could have been a legitimate question.
