Administrators Rare CC Help Michell Posted November 28, 2007 Administrators #5 Share Posted November 28, 2007 Lots of the above... but mostly.... that INSTANT disconnect from my "every day" when I step onboard the ship. Land vacations require a few days for me to truly enter "relaxation" mode... a cruise never does that... it's instant once I board the ship. jp2001 Posted November 29, 2007 #9 Share Posted November 29, 2007 OK, you will probably think I'm weird, especially since I will be cruising on a NCL ship which means Freestyle and jeans allowed even in the dinning rooms (please, don't get me wrong, I like jeans and do wear them at home or even in the nightclub on the ship) but I look forward to wearing my sundress or cute dressy day clothes with a variety of sun hats everyday and wearing gowns or cocktails dresses every night. I'm sure some people will find me weird and definitely not the typical NCL passenger clothes wise. Some will probably even think that I am way out of fashion with this type of clothes instead of the short shorts and tank tops girls my age usually wear on the ship or in port during the day but I'm fine with that, I feel on vacation when I wear these types of outfit (not much occasion to wear that here in Quebec, Canada, especially in February!). Here is an example of what I will wear during the day, and one example for the night. I can't wait!!! HappilyEverAft-ers Posted November 29, 2007 #10 Share Posted November 29, 2007 It's a toss-up between spending time on my balcony, or the DR. Both are equally great! The bars aren't bad, either. ;)
MonaCK Posted November 29, 2007 #11 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Hmmm.... Quality time in the casino. Dinner with good friends. Soaking up some sun on the sun deck. Wandering in and out of the ship shops - realizing it's all the same on all the ships, but still fun to look at. That first night, and the realization that it's goodbye, reality for the next week. 3dlinder Posted November 29, 2007 #22 Share Posted November 29, 2007 Getting waited on..who gets that at home?? Not I!! I LOVE getting up from the dinner table, and walking away........I Love not having to make my bed every day and having someone bring me a drink when I ask........ I am looking forward to sitting on my balcony, in the middle of Feb and being warm and getting sun! Unlike being at home in Boston, and being cold, and slushy and yecky.......green trees/grass and flowers also are something I look forward to also.
