3 Divers needed to Dive in Cozumel on 12/9/04

Hey guys,

I will be cruising to Cozumel and I would like to dive with Aldora Divers. I will be there on Thursday, December 9th. We will get there at 10 am.

I need at least three more divers to join me to be able to reserve a trip at the normal rate. Please go to their site to read why: http://www.aldoradivers.com

I would like to dive with Aldora because they allow longer bottom times by diving by computers and by using steel 120's instead of Al 80's. This gives you more than plenty of air to get in a good long dive.

Because of this, they are a little more expensive @ $20 more than other operators, but the extra hour or so of bottom time is worth it to me. It is like getting another dive. You also do not have to ride on a cattle boat since they only allow a maximum of 7 divers. Most of the time it is 4 to 6.

If anyone is interested in going in with me on this I would appreciate it. Just let me know. Please let me know via the thread or e-mail

My e-mail is rhonda.castro(nospam)@verizon.net. Please take out the no spam.

Hopefully someone can help me out...Here are the reviews I read that brought me to the decision to dive with Aldora. http://www.cozumelmycozumel.com/Pages/DiveOpReviews.htm

Thanks,
Rhonda

You probably already know this, but Aldora isn't the only dive op in Coz to use the large steel tanks. Living Underwater also has 120's and I think there is at least one other operator.

I have read some things about Aldora that turned me off from using them. Aldora thread on Scubaboard.com . Of course YMMV

I have found that air wasn't my limiting factor when diving in Coz. On the deeper, more advanced sites, I used up my NDL before air became an issue.

I went with Blue XT Sea diving in March and recommend them as being a quality, cruiser friendly dive OP.

Hey all

I have over 100 logged dives with ALDORA in Cozumel. They are wonderful! AIR and Bottom time are the biggest factor. On my last cruise they were unable to service us and I wrote Dave the owner a nasty letter about cruise ship passengers not being helped. We have booked groups as large as 16 people for 6 days of dives all with aldora and now they can not take me diving! I used the magic phrase...I dont care what it costs I want to dive with ALDORA. Still they were unable to arrange a dive. I was kinda pissed.

They now have a new cruise ship passenger policy. We will be diving there Monday DECEMBER 13 04 on the Truimph!

Great gear, great dive masters, great boat captians and GREAT DIVES!

Roberto, Jorge, and Omar have all left the operation. They are who made the operation top notch. I used to dive with them as well, but several things have turned me off from Aldora. Now they seem to be going through divemasters like water. You can still get plenty of bottom time with an AL 80 if you are a good diver. You don't need a big tank to do it and you certainly don't need to pay $20 more to do it. I didn't like what I read from Dave on his website about his competition, so it really turned me off.

We usually would love to have you with us I believe that we will have a full boat (4 divers 2 snorklers) ...however My father in law and younger brother have very very little diving experience and that has really slowed us down at times we woudl not want to cut your experience short. Contact aldora and see what they can set up for you! :) www.aldora.com
