Windstar has announced fuel surcharges:

Seattle, November 16, 2007 – Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that explore the hidden harbors and secluded coves of the world’s most treasured destinations, announced today that a fuel surcharge of $8.50 per person, per day for future sailings would be implemented due to escalating fuel prices.

The surcharge applies to all currently published sailings through March 2009, that have not been paid in full by Dec. 15, 2007.

“We regret having to take this action and hope our guests understand the impact that fuel prices are having in today’s economic environment,” said Diane Moore, Executive Vice President, Windstar Cruises.
