Rok4u2 Posted December 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2007 You can watch it ONLY if it is being broadcast on a DENVER station. Meaning if it is one ABC,CBS or NBC. The ship DOES NOT have ESPN or FOX Sports.
yst347 Posted December 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2007 The game will be broadcast on Denver channel 31, the local FOX network affiliate. (Not Fox Sports network) You should be able to watch the game in your cabin or in the sportsbar.
BrendaB1 Posted December 3, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2007 We recently watched the World Series & college games on Fantasy. You should have no problem watching the Championship games.

esmith1500 Posted December 3, 2007 #10 Share Posted December 3, 2007 I know it will be almost midnight when we reach the mouth of the Mississippi River. I want to use my cell phone to call back home to get updates on the game if tv coverage is unavailable. Does anyone know if calling from the Miss. River is considered local or is it"international waters"? I have AT&T as my carrier. Geaux Tigers!!!
yst347 Posted December 3, 2007 #11 Share Posted December 3, 2007 We sailed the Conquest from New Orleans in 2003. You are correct in your timing, we did reach the mouth of the Mississippi a short while before midnight. It isn't International waters but the Casino opened shortly after we pulled away from the Julia St. pier. I think the issue with cell service is what tower your phone picks-up. I have Sprint. My phone either says I am in the Sprint network or I am roaming. If my network has towers extending down river to the mouth it is a standard call for me. At any rate you do not need to worry. The game will be televised onboard, both in your stateroom and in the sports bar, perhaps elsewhere on the Fantasy as well.
omar151 Posted December 3, 2007 #12 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Well either way..LSU does not deserve to be in the BCS championship game ! Go USC !
mariemorgan Posted December 3, 2007 #13 Share Posted December 3, 2007 Yes everyone should hopefully make hotel reservations asap.. the tickets were sold out immediately after it was announced. New Orleans traffic and hotels are going to be a zoo.

Hokies of the seas Posted December 4, 2007 #17 Share Posted December 4, 2007 They would definitely show the game in the sports bar...and I saw what LSU did to VA Tech earlier this year. They should have no problem with Ohio state! Go Hokies!!!

Jenna1983 Posted December 4, 2007 #21 Share Posted December 4, 2007 As a South Carolina fan, I just have to say, GO LSU! Hopefully LSU can continue Ohio States record against SEC teams to 0-9. I'm sure we'll be catching part of this game in San Juan (or I hope?!)

PaulMedik Posted December 4, 2007 #23 Share Posted December 4, 2007 LSU owes their bid to WVU! We rode a bus for four hours each way and sat for hours in the freezing cold to watch the 'eers give the national championship to LSU or Ohio........ If there ever was a time I'd rather have been on a cruise it was definately then! That doesn't sound right; there's a lot of times I'd rather have been on a cruise; that was one in which I'd rather have been ANYWHERE..... I'm sure we'll be catching part of this game in San Juan (or I hope?!) We are on the same cruise as you. We are hoping it is on the big screen. I will just stay on the ship and forget about San Juan. Go LSU. Does anyone know if they show football games on the big screen on the Liberty? Kathy
