I know it will be almost midnight when we reach the mouth of the Mississippi River. I want to use my cell phone to call back home to get updates on the game if tv coverage is unavailable. Does anyone know if calling from the Miss. River is considered local or is it"international waters"? I have AT&T as my carrier.

Geaux Tigers!!!

We sailed the Conquest from New Orleans in 2003. You are correct in your timing, we did reach the mouth of the Mississippi a short while before midnight. It isn't International waters but the Casino opened shortly after we pulled away from the Julia St. pier.

I think the issue with cell service is what tower your phone picks-up. I have Sprint. My phone either says I am in the Sprint network or I am roaming. If my network has towers extending down river to the mouth it is a standard call for me. At any rate you do not need to worry. The game will be televised onboard, both in your stateroom and in the sports bar, perhaps elsewhere on the Fantasy as well.

Good news and bad! First the bad.........you probably won't be able to watch the game. Now the good..........there's plenty of extra towels on the lido deck near the pool to dry your eyes after learning the final score. Go BUCKS!!!

LSU owes their bid to WVU!

We rode a bus for four hours each way and sat for hours in the freezing cold to watch the 'eers give the national championship to LSU or Ohio........ If there ever was a time I'd rather have been on a cruise it was definately then!

That doesn't sound right; there's a lot of times I'd rather have been on a cruise; that was one in which I'd rather have been ANYWHERE.....

As a South Carolina fan, I just have to say, GO LSU! Hopefully LSU can continue Ohio States record against SEC teams to 0-9.

I'm sure we'll be catching part of this game in San Juan (or I hope?!)

We are on the same cruise as you. We are hoping it is on the big screen. I will just stay on the ship and forget about San Juan. Go LSU.

Does anyone know if they show football games on the big screen on the Liberty?
