Internet and WiFi on the Emerald

We will be on the Emerald later this week and was wondering if there was internet in the cabins or WiFi. Not sure if we will bring the laptop or not. Also what are the fees. Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

No internet or WiFi in cabins. There is an internet cafe. It costs:

75cents / minute or

$75 for 150 minutes (50cents / minute)

$100 for 250 minutes (40cents / minute)

Unused minutes on the two packages are NOT refundable.

 

WiFi is available in the area around the purser's desk for 50cents / minute. I am not sure if there are any packages for this.

 

Be aware that the connection speed is slow, so it will take more minute to accomplish tasks than on land.

The Emerald Princess connections was painfully slow. I have been on other Princess ships and this is the slowest I have seen. They keep saying they only have 3 connections to the satellites I think something is not configured right
