Marriott Biscayne Bay or Coconut Grove?

I was hoping I could get some opinions on a pre-cruise hotel. We are staying in Miami one night pre-cruise. I have the Holiday Inn Bayside already reserved but now have the opportunity to stay at either the Marriott Biscayne Bay or Marriott Residence Inn Coconut Grove at a very reasonable rate. We are not worried about proximity to the pier as much as having enough to do the day/night before and morning of the cruise.

Which would you prefer and why?

Thanks so much!

Nancy

Either Marriott is a couple of notches above the Holiday Inn, good for you. My choice would be Coconut Grove. It's an easy walking town with plenty of parks, restaurants, shopping and activities to keep you occupied. Yet it's quiet enough to just sit back and relax.
