Bringing our own alcohol onboard

I have read several posts that say we can and several that say we can't bring our own alcohol onboard. Has anyone actually brought their own bottle aboard and do you put it in your carry on bag or in your checked luggage? I wouldn't mind bringing some Sprite Zero myself because I never can find any clear no calorie drinks anywhere except for Diet Coke or Pepsi.

I brought on 2 12 packs of Pepsi. I just put them in a suitcase. I saw others on board with pepsi products etc.

As for alcohol, I am sure you can bring that on too. They didnt take our alcohol when we got back on in St Maarten. ( every other cruise ship does). We didnt open it, but we could have.

Lots of people bring their own beverages, even alcohol.

we just got back and a friend took 2 cases of his favorite beer, another took 2 cases of water, and we have taken pop before.

 

put it in our carry on! The checked luggage takes a real beating sometimes, no point in taking chances with it.
