crabby apple Posted December 14, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2007 I forgot that our promo included some until I printed out my documents and saw it. Did a search for it on the Carnival site to see what it can be or CANNOT be used for -- no luck only sales and promos. Help!
alsanto Posted December 14, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2007 it's a credit on your sail & sign bill....
crabby apple Posted December 14, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted December 14, 2007 Drats, so if we do not drink alcohol...........will it work for excursions? Maybe towards one soda card but that will not use it up. Hmm:confused:
*Mach* Posted December 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2007 Drats, so if we do not drink alcohol...........will it work for excursions? Maybe towards one soda card but that will not use it up. Hmm:confused: You don't have to drink to run up a bill on your Sail and Sign card. Pretty much all your on board purchases, including shore excursions, go on your S&S... crabby apple Posted December 14, 2007 Author #5 Share Posted December 14, 2007 Ok. I already booked them but maybe I can get credit. We sail tomorrow so doubtful. :(
big_duck Posted December 14, 2007 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2007 They only OBC I know of that comes with restrictions is the Shareholder Benefit. That particular OBC cannot be used in the Casino or for Gratuities.
gebo Posted December 15, 2007 #7 Share Posted December 15, 2007 You will be charged $5 each a day for gratuities. The ship will charge your S&S card. Your credit can diminish or cancel that charge. ;)
sea_u_onboard Posted December 15, 2007 #8 Share Posted December 15, 2007 Actually the tips are $10 per day per person. If you like Bingo you can put that on the S&S and use up your credit. Oh - or some of those yummy desserts from the specialty place. Or that rum cake from the shop. See there are many ways to use up that OBC. :D
Snoozeman Posted December 15, 2007 #9 Share Posted December 15, 2007 They only OBC I know of that comes with restrictions is the Shareholder Benefit. That particular OBC cannot be used in the Casino or for Gratuities. I have Don. They never questioned it. Wouldn't know how they would be able to keep it separate anyway. I don't always drink $100 on my S&S so they must.;)

barbevrn Posted December 15, 2007 #12 Share Posted December 15, 2007 Don't forget pictures! We have never had a problem using all of our OBC. We just have a problem with NOT ENOUGH obc. :p
stanford's girl Posted December 15, 2007 #13 Share Posted December 15, 2007 You can use it for tips, pictures, specialty dining, virgin drinks, shore excursions, and gifts from the shops. The only thing that I have found that you can't use it for is the casino. :)
mikedallas23 Posted January 10, 2008 #14 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Does the OBC show up somewhere on your online documents before you sail?
mikedallas23 Posted January 10, 2008 #15 Share Posted January 10, 2008 I will now answer my own question :) It shows up on your edocs in the "Guest Cruise Ticket Contract Acknowledgment" section (page 8 for me).
cul8er Posted January 10, 2008 #16 Share Posted January 10, 2008 I got an OBC from Travelocity and they said it was only valid for the spa, casino and excursions. I shouldn't have a problem blowing $100 in the casino :D
angelkisses Posted January 10, 2008 #17 Share Posted January 10, 2008 Does the onboard credit show up on your travel documents if you booked a group with a TA rather than going thru Carnival? I'm not seeing our shipboard credit when I review the online documents. We only have a week before we sail so I'm a bit concerned. TA just keeps telling me not to worry it will show up once on the cruise. My fear is that the other 30 people traveling with me may decide to throw me overboard if they do not get their $100. mikedallas23 stated in a previous post that he found his credit in the "Guest Cruise Ticket Contract Acknowledgment" section. I can't find that section either. I found "Guest Cruise Ticket Terms" but not "Acknowledgement. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!

I can't find that section either. I found "Guest Cruise Ticket Terms" but not "Acknowledgement. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! It's the section that has all of your itemized charges such as cruise amount, federal taxes/fees, fuel supplement, etc. I booked mine through an online TA. For me it's on the last page before all of the endless terms and conditions.

For me it's on the last page before all of the endless terms and conditions. I found the section you were talking about but every single line including the price I paid says "as agreed". Anyone else have there information show up like this?
