RCCC Atlantis excursion??

Has anyone done the royal caribbean beach day excursion for atlantis cost about $69 pp.? Wondering if it is worth it or not. Includes chair towel and tour of Atlantis. Or would you suggest we visit the beach on our own. Don't want any problems if we do it on our own, but don't want to spend all that money if it is not worth it. Please help!!! Thanks

Forgot to mention, it also includes lunch at the Dive In snack bar.

If you "must see" the Atlantis Property and Digs and want to have lunch there, then the $69 is worth it.

 

If you are just looking to see the casino, shoppes, indoor aquarium (at Great Wall of Water Cafe), the glass sculptures, the decor, then check out the space and the views from the casino veranda and head to the beach, don't bother with the tour.

 

Just bring along your own towel and head to the beach next to the Sheraton. It's just next door to the Atlantis Beach Towers.

Thank you for your help. I'm not really interested in anything but seeing the place and enjoying the beach. Just don't want security and the guest busting my chops while there. Thanks for the advise.

We booked this tour and it is worth what you get, if you want to use their beach, see the DIG, and have lunch. Lunch at Atlantis is not cheap. So the 69.00 per person was worth it to us, for no hassles.

Thanks kbt2 for the information. How long ago did you do this excursion? Did you notice if the people who come to the area to just use the beach were bothered by anyone? I like the idea of having the use of a chair.

You can only use the Atlantis beach if you have a band, and therefore, no you are not bothered by anyone using the beach that is not allowed.
