Library hours?

Hi,

 

Just curious: why are the library hours on some ships so erratic? I've recently gotten off the Carnival Valor, and I couldn't understand why the library might be listed in the Capers as open "until 11am" on one day or "at 5:15" on another.

 

This area doesn't appear to be staffed. Can anyone explain why it's closed most of the time? Some odd ship rule or regulation perhaps?

The libraries are staffed when open [usually one hour in the morning; one in the afternoon]. No staff the rest of the time...but the room is open. You just can't get to the books. No "rule" as to why it can't be open longer...it is on some cruise lines. Just not enough demand for its services

You can also leave a paperback, once you have read it, for someone else to enjoy.
