Help in Hobart

Has anyone taken a good half day tour of Hobart and surrounding areas? Would appreciate any names, hints as to what to see. Many thanks, DD cruiser:)

Hobart is an easy city to walk around. If you want to be driven around, there is a hop on hop off bus that departs from the wharf and will take you right around. There is also a half day tour that you can take that will show you Mt. Wellington. Everything you need is right there where you dock.

Would this also be close to Port Arthur that I can walk to ?

Port Arthur is a good hours drive down the peninsula from Hobart and no hop on hop off buses go there. The only way you can get there is by taking a tour or driving yourself there. There is no public transport to this area.

Don't miss Bonorong Animal Park. A petting zoo full of kangaroos! One of the highlights of our trip.:)
