December 25 cruise question

Anyone know if many activities go on in Roatan on Christmas Day Dec. 25th. That is the day we will be there. We are thinking of butterfly garden, botanical garden, iguana farm. Anyone have any idea?

Honduras is 90% Catholic. I would think many of the tourist areas would be closed to celebrate this Holy Day.

I would guess that most tourist-funded businesses and areas will be open on Christmas Day. Just like Disney (which is open until 1AM on Christmas Day...egad!), the folks in Roatan realize their economy is tourist based and you won't make any money or spur repeat business if your tourist attractions are closed.

 

You might want to check with Victor Bodden or Cynthia & Diana, the tour experts... I'm sure they would let you know of any holiday closings.
