I was on that tour in Feb and it is very hot and humid. Wear shorts and by the way I was not bothered by mosquito's at all but just to be on the safe side take some repellent with you.

We were in Limon earlier in December. It was on and off rain that day and not really hot at all. I had brought convertible pants--the kind where you can zip on a part to make the shorts into long pants. I kept them long all day and was very comfortable. It all depends on personal preference. If you are sensitive to heat, shorts would likely be the option.

I wasn't bothered by mosquitos, but my husband found some. He's a magnet for them. Again, everyone is an individual!
