Some suggestions of what to do in Belize from a former resident

For anyone interested, I e-mailed a San Diego lady who's from Belize and asked her what to do there. Here was the reply that I received.

"Definitely go the the Cayes. Pronounced like keys. They are absolutely gorgeous and the food is wonderful. Dont stay too long in the city, you wont enjoy the Country like that. Visit the zoo, its like nothing you have ever seen, visit the small towns, and the restaurants if you want to experiance authenticity. We are known for our Mayan Ruins, our caves, and the waterfalls and Pine Ridge. Absolutely beautiful. And dont forget to go snorkeling or a tour around the Great Barrier Reef."

Hope that helps.
