ykckby Posted December 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2007 I'm looking to possibly do the Dream to Bermuda for our 25th next summer and have a question..... Assuming the Owner's Suites are out of my price range....I'm considering either an ocean view or a balcony. I have never sailed without a balcony but hear that the ocean view cabins on the Dream are very nice. I've not cruised to Bermuda and am not sure of the "need" for a balcony. I'd be interested in anyone's thoughts. And...is the Owner's Suite on the Dream worth the price difference? Thanks kim
electricron Posted December 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2007 The Oceanviews on the Dream are very nice, with a seating area just like the Balcony cabins, but without a balcony. The Superior Oceanviews have floor to ceiling windows. If you wished to try an Oceanview once in your life, the Dream is the ship to do so on. Bermuda is so nice, the views are so beautiful, the climate so pleasant, you'll probably want a balcony. But the Oceanviews will have cheaper fares. It's not that the Oceanviews are better than the Balcony cabins, it's just the Dream's Balcony cabins are so much nicer than what you'll find on most NCL ships. ;) As for Owners Suites, I can't afford them, I can't tell you how nice they are, or if they are worth the price. heelfan94 Posted December 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2007 The Dream cabin we had (Balcony) was really well laid out. Like electricron said, the oceanview cabins looked great also. The balcony is nice, though. I have some pics if you want to see them:
ykckby Posted December 28, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted December 28, 2007 Thanks so much....I think we'll go for the balcony...I really enjoy coffee in the morning just sitting and watching the world go by. The pictures were great! kim
heelfan94 Posted December 28, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2007 Thanks so much....I think we'll go for the balcony...I really enjoy coffee in the morning just sitting and watching the world go by. The pictures were great! kim The little sitting area by the balcony is wonderful. There's a curtain you can pull if one person is awake and the other wants to sleep. I read a lot so this was incredibly handy on our cruise. The bathroom is small but functional. I'd love to sail on the Dream again. It's a neat ship. :)
