cindilouwho Posted December 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 28, 2007 Just booked solo - not the first time - but the first time to the Med solo! I am hoping that I can do the shore excursion thing (don't normally do it through the cruise line) because I got a HUGE onboard credit. :D The ship is small (700 pax) and I really hoping that it was not a big mistake to cruise on a smaller ship when going solo. Dinner should be very interesting!
yellowbird23 Posted January 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Have fun! A little too rich for my taste price-wise.
kitty9 Posted January 3, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I've cruised solo several times on Seabourn, with only 200 passengers, and it was fantastic. My only problem with lines like Azamara, Regent and Silversea is the whole dining issue. I hate open seating as a solo as it's uncomfortable seeing if anyone will allow you to join them at their table. It's that or dine alone. At least on Seabourn, solo women receive an invitation to dinner each night with a ship's officer, the cruise director or a member of the entertainment staff. That way, you know you'll be dining with others, but no other line with open seating does that.
