I have a reservation to stay at the Hotel Vintage Park, A Kimpton Hotel pre cruise in May 2008. I was wanting to know if anyone has stayed here before and have any opinions and how far it is away from the main 'touristy' places and any tips? Thank you so much! :D

The Vintage Park is in central downtown Seattle, and is one of the more popular of the small botique hotels in the city. You could walk from there to Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, and the waterfront. A little far to walk to Seattle Center, but you can catch a bus right across the street on 4th Av that will get you there (route 19, 24 or 33) without a transfer. You could also walk to Seattle Center if a 1.5 mile walk is within your usual routine.

Buses are free in the downtown core from 6 am to 7 pm (though Seattle Center is outside of the free ride zone). Otherwise $1.25 one way during off peak hours, and $1.50 one way during peak hours.

There are a number of good restaurants in the near proximity to the hotel as well.

Should there be any other questions I can answer for you, please don't hesitate to ask.

We also just won the Vintage Park hotel on Priceline and are a party of 4 with 2 rooms, 2 couples (mom, dad, son, and upcoming daughter-in-law). Is the hotel OK for the two age groups (60's & 30's) as well as room size etc. Got a great price (under $100) so won't worry about one night. Also on RCCl the next day, how far to the pier?

Thanks in advance for the information.

You should be OK for room size. As to generational lodging, it's a boutique hotel, so that shouldn't be an issue for you either.

RCI leaves from Terminal 30, so about 5-6 miles from the hotel. Traffic has been miserable downtown with construction and other issues--even on the weekends, so plan your departure accordingly.
