WinnieinWA Posted December 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2007 I'd like to know if the Cruise Director has any daytime or nightime activities on the Oosterdam? I've never sailed HAL but am really looking foreward to my first in March to Mexico. My only other 2 cruises have had so many activities that I couldn't partake in a lot of them as there were just too many! I'll be traveling solo so I do indeed want some entertainment and the room category I am about to choose does depend on what's offered for entertainment. If any of you could tell me of the types of activities offered I would really appreciate it! Thank you! sandyblue029 Posted December 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2007 Hi; I was surprised that no one had replied to your question. We were on the Oosterdam the first part of December and here is a list of the "free" things that were available the first sea day: Walk a mile, golf chipping, kitchen tour, culinary demo, casino lessons, golf challenge, bingo, art enrichment, singles and solos luncheon, slot tournament, trivia, pool games, art auction, basketball,Indonesian tea, jewelry collections, plus the library and video library, grazing in the buffets, sampling liquor in the bars and just relaxing and meeting people. Hope this was of some help.
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 30, 2007 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2007 You should be able to find lots of activites to keep you busy. Besides the above list - wine tasting for a nominal fee - mixology classes - fee.

off2ctheworld Posted December 31, 2007 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2007 You'll love the ship and activities! We would read and mark the activities in our daily program. Just wish we could be back on board to take in more activites! I didn't visit the spa, but did try the hair salon and enjoyed that. Have a great cruise from another Washingtonian!
