Sailing from NY in May?

Living in NE, we decided to try a cruise from NY. Can anyone tell me how cool is it cruising end of May? Please share your experiences.

end of May can be in the 70 and 80's it rapidily gets warmer as you head either south or to Bermuda....

What about April? It is cold then?

It depends when in April you are talking about. In NY we have had snow in the begining of April, but usually it is between 60-70. The later in April, the warmer the weather.

We sailed on the Crown out of NY last May 12 and we were surprised by how chilly it was and it fact stayed chilly for two days. We were not really prepared and I ended up buying a jacket the first night out.

 

Then the last day sailing back in we were chilly again, probably in the 50's. That is chilly for us.

It can even snow in April.....and it has....May is warmer.
