Liberty cabin 1586 (GS) and 1588 (D1) questions

We have Liberty cabin 1586 (GS) and 1588 (D1) booked on an upcoming cruise. These are connecting cabins. If anyone has stayed in either cabin, do you remember any of the following:

1. Is the balcony divider between these two cabins one that can be unlocked and open or is it fixed?

2. Where is the door for connecting the cabins located in either cabin and how does this affect the furniture layout?

Any info anyone has would be appreciated.

  • 3 weeks later...

I was in GS 1286 on the Freedom (on the opposite side) just last week. I think I recall there being a door on the balcony that could be unlocked, but I'll check my photos at home to be sure of this. I DO know that the connecting door was between the couch and the balcony glass door. We used this area to stack our luggage, though there was plenty of other space to do so. To use this door, the only obstacle you'd have, at least on the GS side, would be the an easily moved chair.

I hope that helps!
