Leaving Miami on Jan. 19 to Western Caribbean. Anyone else is? For those who were ont he Sun, how are the oceanview cabins? We have been on the Spirit from NYC last year and loved it, although the trip back (2 1/2 days sailing) was quite stormy and too long.

Whoever can tell me info on the Sun would be appreciated

Sue, we were on the Sun twice and it is one of my favorite ships. The outside cabins I am sure are fine. We did have a balcony both times, but the cabin sizes are similar. My biggest gripe about the Sun and the Star is the cabin decor. It sucks in my view. The spreads are original and weren't all that great inthe early days. The bathrooms are nice and there is plenty of storage.

Little things to know, someone asked this last week, make sure you try one extra charge dining room even if you don't do anything else. Try Las Rambles for tapas and for omeletes at breakfast. The buffet is a little bit of a pain for breakfast: the main dining and selection will be right there, the omeletes will be up one flight of stairs in Las RAmbles and the waffle bar is across the hall from the buffet. We found the best way was to grab what we wanted from the buffet and head up the one flight for the omeletes. They also will serve some breakfast meats, juice, coffee etc.

If you like casinos, I think they have one of the loosest at sea. This is not to say you are going to win, but that $20 bill will last longer. Play the Pegasus game. You can set it for a penny or nickel machine. It is on an end, just around the corner from the bar. At least it was there a year and a half ago.

Enjoy

ps don't miss the martini clinic but you can and will want to share with someone. 4 martinis in an hour may spoil your dinner. LOL
