E-mail save the dates

Recommended Posts

I e-mailed a save-the-date e-mail out to guests yesterday but now I'm worried that people won't read it. It gives them our wedding website and we have gotten lots of hits on the website since sending it out and a few comments but I was wondering if anyone else tried the e-mail save the date idea and how it worked out? I have plenty of time to send out real save the dates since it is not until Aug 15th 2009 on Carnival, what should I do??

Send out a wedding newsletter now detailing your decision to have a cruise wedding and the details of the cruise, the price of the room, details of the ship, ports of call, etc.

This can be done nicely (and inexpensively) using word and resume stock paper and envelopes.

Then 6-8 months, send you the save the dates.

I like the idea of mailing out a wedding newsletter. I emailed an invitation from Carnival Connections inviting all to join with the cruise date, itinerary, group booking number, prices, and all but am in the same boat where I have only had 4 people RSVP. Although it is early (Dec. 2009!). Anyway, I really do think the mailed newsletter sounds great.
