Rental Car Drop-Off Offices in NYC

We are sailing on Jan. 13 from NYC and are thinking about renting a car to drive to NYC to catch the ship rather than having our daughters take us there. We could go by train, but we have a lot of luggage for three of us to handle.

Does anyone know which car rental companies have drop-off offices mid-town? We will be sailing from the piers in Manhattan, not Brooklyn. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

all major car rental agencies have places in Manhattan. within a 1/2 mile to a mile of the pier...Avis Hertz etc....at their websites they will have exact addresses. One way rentals into NYC can be expensive....

Thanks for your response. If we go by train, what is the best way to travel from Penn Station to hotel in mid-town. There are three of us with possibly 8-9 pieces of luggage. Too much for a regular cab.

No its not too much for a regular cab and there are many Van cabs now. They will put 5 pieces in the trunk and load the rest next to the driver with the three of you in the back seat of a regular cab...
