Mobile hotels

Maybe I should start out saying I am super cheap...I needed to stay one night before our cruise and didn't want to spend a lot of money. I put in for a 2 star in Mobile and got $49 per night, which was great. I then added in taxes and their fee and realized it was the same price that I had found online on my own (about $60). I then called the hotel directly and asked about a AAA discount and I saved another $5.00. I have found that sometimes when I call the hotel directly I get a lower rate. I have also found that if it says online there aren't any rooms on your dates that it is not always the case when you call the hotel directly.
