leavitt1 Posted January 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Hello everyone. My DH and I are leaving on the Grand next week, and I was thinking of surprising him with a few hundred dollars in casino credits so we don't have to worry about carrying the extra cash. Are there any disadvantages to this? I noticed on the Princess site that it says "Surprise someone with a side bet." Does that mean that the credits can only be used for side bets?  Thanks for any info that you provide. Michelle
chrysalis Posted January 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2008 There is not down side to it...and cruise credits can be used for anything that goes on your ship-board account.
leavitt1 Posted January 7, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Oops. I meant "casino credits." I didn't even know that they had "cruise credits." Sorry for the mistaken wording.
WeBeGone Posted January 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Just call Princess and order casino credits. They come in $20 increments. We usually get at least $1000 for the 2 of us. 10 $100 certificates are in our cabin when we board. Then take the certificate to the casino and change them for cash. Even easier is to buy yourself "onboard credit". The new slot machines let you deduct $$ directly from your on board account.
