Shore Excursions - Carnival Destiny 1/20/2008

Hello, my Mom and I are going to be on the 1/20 Destiny cruise. I understand from fellow travelers on this forum that shore excursions offered by cruise ships tend to be over crowded and missing personal touches, not to mention over-priced.

 

We would very much like to go on excursions independently. But being only two people, it is very difficult to retain local tour guides as they seem (understandably) to favor bigger groups. I am writing here to see if anyone who have booked independent excursions would be willing to accommodate two more people...

 

We are interested in sight seeing, history, culture etc...
