tjatczak Posted January 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2008 There are 6 of us cruising on March 9 onboard the Adventure. We arrive on Saturday March 8, and are looking for 'something different' for dinner. We are staying at the Radisson Ambassador Plaza...any suggestions? Not sure what (exactly) we are looking for - that is why we are asking for suggestions. Thanks, Ted
Coqui2007 Posted January 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2008 Here are a few options: Pamela's at the Numbero Uno Guest house gets great reviews and you can eat right on the beach Tangerine is another option Pikayo located in the Museum of Art in San Juan is one of the top restaurants in Puerto Rico and the prices match its reputation Ropa Vieja Grill in Condado serves great Cunab and PR cuisine and is a nice place for an evening (we go regularly) In Old San Juan you have numerous options: Parrot Club, Dragonfly and Aquaviva are all owned by the same group and are good options. Tantra is great for Indian inspired dishes Carli's located in the Old Banco Popular building is another option especially if you like Jazz - the owner played with the beach boys and now plays their live (check for the night you would be there) There are plenty of other options - the San Juan area and PR is a great place for cuisine of any type Coqui @ http://www.visit-the-coqui.com
Seatravelers Posted January 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2008 Our favorites are Ramiro's and Jose Jose....Both pricey but well worth it! Get reservations before you go, especially if on a weekend....
rainforestgirl Posted January 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2008 An "experience" Pamela's is nice- a foot in the sand dinner with gourmet food (and prices) place. Dragonfly- Asian inspired food- served family style- so everyone can taste everything. Neat atmosphere, great drinks. I have never been, but I hear Tantra is really good (Indian inspired),huge Martini menu, with belly dancers at 9:30 in the evening! Sounds exotic!
