pugsrcute Posted September 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2004 Has anyone done the Snuba with Mayan Paradise Tours and done snorkeling with Eagle Ray Divers? I'm trying to decide which one to do in November! Thanks
lory Posted September 13, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 13, 2004 Can't help with Eagle Ray, although I've only heard good things about them. I can HIGHLY recommend Mayan Paradise Tours though. They offer a wonderful trip and you'll have the option of doing snuba and snorkeling. They visit Columbia, Cielo and Palancar. You snuba at one reef, then snorkel at the other 2. The guys on the boat are superb hosts. They work really hard to make sure everyone has a great time. I spent time with them again last week. It was wonderful. I can't wait to go back. outforfunFF1 Posted September 13, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 13, 2004 ok so.... um. What is Snuba? Rose
bruce-r Posted September 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2004 This is from snuba.com And yes, definitely I'd pick snuba over snorkeling. So much more freedom not being stuck on the surface or forced back up to the surface after a few moments underwater. Papa Hogs also offers snuba as well as discover scuba experiences. kguenther Posted September 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2004 I am considering doing a snuba tour with them in March. Do they meet you at your ship's pier (we will be on Carnival Sensation) or do we need to know how to meet them? Also, they drop you off at Nachi Cocum...is there good shopping/food near here? lory Posted September 17, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2004 The Zorro picks up and drops off at Nachi Cocom, a beach club towards the southern end of the island. There is a restaraunt at Nachi and a small gift shop but no real shopping. You'll need to take a cab to and from Nachi Cocom.
