Panama Canal Questions

I am interested in finding out if you can disembark while in the Gatum Lake? If so where do they drop you off. Thank you.

The only was you can get off the ship in Gatun Lake is if you book one of the ships excursions. They then tender you off between 10 & 11 am to go about you excursion. If you do not book a tour you cannot get off until the ship gets to Cristobal Pier. From what I have been told there is not much there. When are you sailing?

Hubby and I will be on the Thanksgivigng Day departure doing an 11 night Panama Canal. It will be our first x cruise and we are so looking forward to it!Any others on that particular sailing with us?

At the pier there is usually shopping for local crafts. When the ship is about to leave, you can really bargain, if you wish.
