New to SeaDream

After hearing all the wonderful things about SeaDream on this forum, we have taken the plunge and are booking our first SeaDream cruise. We've been offered cabin 201, but looking at the deck plan it appears very close to the dining room. For anyone who has stayed in that room, is it noisy? Any advice would be most appreciated................Mary

Which ship? We were in 203, right next door in Italy on SD I and yes, we had some noise issues from the engine space below. This is covered in my review of the SD I October Italy post on this board.

That is my absolute favorite room! I love being near the dining room!

we have been on seadream..201 is not bad.you could do better on that levcel.just have your travel agent ask or call silversea.your TA should be getting you a better cabin.

Here are the reasons I like 201.

1. it is not part of a commodore suite

2. it is easy to stairs

3. zip in and out of the dining room

ITA with LBLB's reasons. I've traveled on 4,3,and 2, once getting a Commodore Suite. I loved the easy access to the dining room. . especially during a lenghthy dinner with free flowing champagne and other beverages.

Even some of the ship's officers recommend cabins in the midle of the ship, and on a lower deck, in the event of rough seas... I can't comment about the engine noise... most recently we were near the front of the ship, and heard a lot of anchor and bow thruster noise... (in addition to our creaky bed)...

We just got assigned 205, at first I was a little nervous but based on these comments, it sounds ok

We have been in 201 and 202 on SeaDream II and found the location and rooms great for the reasons mentioned above. We particularly liked them for the stability they offered....never felt any real motion. In fact, they were our first choice. You will love the ship! Maxine
