Palo goes to $15

The price for Palo brunch and dinner has just increased to $15 per person (previously $10 per person) on the Disney Cruise Line. The price change is effective today (Jan. 10, 2008) on the Disney Wonder and Saturday (Jan. 12, 2008) on the Disney Magic. The rate increase only applies to new reservations; if you already made your Palo reservation, it will remain at $10 per person.

Though I am not a fan of prices going up, in my book Palo is still the best specialty dining venue for the money out there. I would happily pay $15 to eat there any day.

Yes, I hate price increases, but that is one that I will happily pay. Twice if we get a chance!

 

Celebrity charges $30 pp for specialty dining. We almost did it, but decided not to.

We paid $15/person for the specialty steakhouse on Princess and it was the exact same steak I got in the dining room, and was served in the room the buffet was in. The service was the same (lackluster), too. Waste of $60. So I'm glad to hear Palo is worthwhile because otherwise I'd be anti-specialty-dining!

And you don't know me, but I am extremely frugal. So if I willingly pay and extra $15 for anything, it is worth it!;)

And it is so much better than PALO. Really it is all about getting what you pay for. The Celebrity specialty restaurants are the best on the seas, IMHO. Still it is much cheaper than you would pay on land.

somewhat like others have posted...at $15 pp Palo is still an amazing value...we have had other very good specialty dining experiences on other lines, but still for $15-20...Palo is still a must while on a Disney cruise
